Breast augmentation surgery involves using breast implants or fat, referred to as fat transfer breast augmentation, to increase the size of your breasts or restore breast volume that has been lost after weight reduction or pregnancy.
Breast augmentation is clinically referred to as augmentation mammoplasty.
Breast augmentation can:A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple).
Breast implantsImplants inserted in conjunction with a mastopexy procedure can increase both firmness and size. In most cases, an incision is made on the lower portion of the breast and an implant placed under the muscle. The excess skin is then removed and the nipple repositioned. we use best quality silicon implants which have long lasting results.
ProcedureYour operation is performed under a general anesthetic and usually takes about an hour and a half. There are several options for surgical incisions:
You should be able to go home the same day or the day after your surgery. You will be required to wear a special supportive bra for several weeks to help your breasts settle after the procedure.
Most women return to normal activities within one or two weeks. Depending on your type of job you should be able to return to work after the first week.
It usually takes a few weeks for your breasts to look and feel more natural. The results of a breast augmentation usually last for a long time. The length of time a breast implant lasts will vary depending on an individual's personal factors.
Breast reduction surgery is usually performed through incisions on your breasts with surgical removal of the excess fat, glandular tissue and skin.
In some cases, excess fat may be removed through liposuction in conjunction with the excision techniques described below. If breast size is largely due to fatty tissue and excess skin is not a factor, liposuction alone may be used in the procedure for breast reduction. The technique used to reduce the size of your breasts will be determined by your individual condition, breast composition, amount of reduction desired, your personal preferences and the surgeon’s advice.
When your breast reduction procedure is complete, dressings or bandages will be applied to the incisions. An elastic bandage or support bra may be worn to minimize swelling and support the breasts as they heal.
A small, thin tube may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid that may collect.
The results of breast reduction surgery will be long lasting. Your new breast size should help relieve you from the pain and physical limitations experienced prior to breast reduction.
