Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is removing excess fat, muscle and skin from upper and lower eyelids giving them a more awake and youthful look, while improving the contour. It does not by itself improve crow's feet or wrinkles around the eye. Doing this procedure also does not change pigmentation.

Men and women usually after 40 years in age with eyelid looseness and bulges of fat in the upper and lower eyelids are the candidates for this surgery. Eyelid skin thins with age and the fat around the eyeball may start protruding out and becomes visible through the thin eyelid skin. The looseness of skin may also impair field of vision and the brows may sometimes have to be lifted to improve field of vision.
